Habit No. 1.

Open your mail! Rip open those envelopes before you use them as a coaster for your coffee or notepaper for your Zoom meeting. If you are like me, you make a beeline for anything handwritten and leave the correspondence from financial institutions “for later” (ie. when hell freezes over). Not anymore. Open everything, throw away what you don’t need and file what you do. Make it easy by keeping a folder for important documents right by the spot where you open your mail. Make it fun if you are lucky enough to have an open fire, by tossing the trash into it. Extra points if you look furtively over your shoulder as you do so.
